Chicago Tri Club

Swim. Bike. Run. Play.

Philanthropy

The Chicago Tri Club supports the Chicago area triathlon community by organizing volunteers for races and triathlon related events in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We also encourage and support our members in working with other organizations promoting sports and fitness.

RACE VOLUNTEERING

As part of the Racing and Volunteering (RAV) program, CTC members earn points for volunteering at races and other events.  Members earn 3 RAV points for volunteering at CRS Races to support our fellow club members.  If you volunteer at a CRS race, register for the race as a volunteer to add yourself to the list.

CTC also selects Volunteer Focus Races for the Club to support as a group. For these events, members should add their name to the volunteer list prior to the race, and our volunteer coordinator will contact you with further information. For all other races, members should volunteer directly through the race’s web site or race director.

The Volunteer Focus Races for 2022 are as follows:
June 5: Leon's (3 points)
June 26: Pleasant Prairie (3 points)
August 27-28
: Chicago Triathlon (3 points)
September 10-11: Ironman & 70.3 in Wisconsin (4 points)

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

In addition to volunteering at races, CTC encourages our members to give back to the community by supporting, through CTC or on an individual basis, other organizations that promote health and fitness. Of particular interest are those organizations which encourage youth participation in the sport of triathlon.

Below is a list of organizations we believe can benefit from the knowledge, experience, and resources, of CTC and our members. These organizations should be considered by members who are looking to donate time or financial support to worthy causes.

Tri-Masters

Tri-Masters is a not-for-profit organization that empowers at-risk children via triathlon in order to teach life lessons. As their youth athletes learn to swim, bike and run, they gain skills in goal-setting, conflict resolution, respect, responsibility, self-discipline and perseverance.

Dare2Tri

Dare2Tri is an organization that works to positively impact the lives of athletes with physical disabilities or visual impairments by providing opportunities to develop their skills in the sport of Paratriathlon while inspiring the community at large.
