Chicago's Fourth Annual Premier Teddy Bear Century Ride! This is a no drop ride up to Wisconsin and back. Further information: Purpose: We want to make sure that everyone can experience an intimidation-free 100 mile ride. Pace: The pace will be as slow as necessary to keep the group together. Route: 100 miles on asphalt, including over 15 miles on bike paths, and minimizing heavy traffic routes. There will be stops for coffee, lunch, and snacks. Sag vehicle: Can carry warm clothes for you (see below) and will be available to help with mechanical difficulties Be prepared for cold weather: jackets, gloves, shoe covers, hats, and knee warmers are suggested Post-ride meetup: At the ride leaders' home in Lincoln Park. Showers and indoor bike parking are available. Bring money for a pizza order! Bears: We all ride with a Teddy Bear on our bikes. A small Teddy Bear will be given to each rider who RSVPs (details coming soon). A $10 donation is requested to pay for the Teddy Bear (plus an extra to be donated to the Lurie's Children's Hospital) Please make sure your bike is in good working condition. We will be ordering a teddy bear (plus one for Lurie Children's Hospital) for everyone who has RSVP'd "Going" here or on the Facebook event page on Saturday October 1. The cost will be $10.
