There is no Galena Triathlon this year but have no fear because we are going to host a training weekend instead! Start the season off right with a weekend away in the beautiful rolling hills of Galena IL with some group workouts and an awesome club hosted BBQ Saturday night.

Looks like the dates are 5/20-5/22. So this follows our typical history of going up to Galena on Friday, and staying until Sunday. There usually is a good bit of carpooling going on to get out there. In the past these weekends have been a lot of fun, and Galena is a bit hilly for those of us used to pancake-flat Illinois!

It should be a fun weekend of biking and running (with the weather we've been having, probably no swimming!) We'll definitely have hot tubs, and of course our usual Potluck on Saturday night.
**Wei is at Wildflower this weekend so he won't even look at the sign-ups until he gets back. So I'll extend the deadline until May 1. (Good Luck at Wildflower, Wei!!!) **
Time to GET EXCITED!! Galena housing assignments have been finalized and sent out. We encourage members to coordinate rides, meals, and party contributions with their housemates for a fun weekend away from the city!
There are still a limited number of spots still available for anyone deciding last minute that they want to join in on the fun after all. The extra spots are available on a first-come first-served basis via our Galena event page (http://chicagotriclub.com/event-1955116). After those have all been taken, there will be a waitlist to sign up for spots if additional housing becomes available. The price has been lowered to $120 and those who have paid will receive a refund for the difference.
We'll have member organized group rides and the traditional BBQ party Saturday night. It's definitely a fun weekend and a great way to meet and train with other CTC members!
