Stroke & Stride 6pm June – August.
1/2 mile or full mile swim followed by a 2 mile run held at Ohio Street Beach, weather permitting (see Message Boards for updates).
Check in with the timer by 6:15 and the event starts at 6:30pm. There is no fee for this timed weekly scrimage; depending on volunteer interest, results are posted on the forum.
Generally, members socialize afterward for a post-workout meal and drinks.
Looks like a good day for Stroke & Stride! S&S is always ON as long as Ohio Street Beach is open (green or yellow flag). Eric uses the Chicago Park District Ohio St Beach page to make his final decisions.

Chicago Park District has just issues a SWIM BAN on Ohio St Beach due to hazardous surf. Nearby beaches (Oak St, North Ave) are also affected. Therefore Stroke & Stride is CANCELED for today. See you next week!
