Chicago Tri Club Monthly Meeting Wednesday September 1 – Ironman Panel
Are you ready to train for an Ironman? Which race should you choose, and when should you start training? Do you need a coach? How do you keep the rest of your life in balance during Ironman training and avoid burnout? Ask your questions at the CTC Ironman Panel, where Club Ironmen of different ages and backgrounds will give you the benefits of their experience. This year our panel includes CTC member Sean Stringer, who set the world record for the most Ironman distance races completed in a year: 20 in 2009 !
The clinic begins at 7 at Fizz (upper level) following the social hour at 6 pm.
Club "Muffin Runs" on Sundays
Starting September 19, every Sunday at 9:00 am we meet at the CARA Board (Lakefront Path and Diversey) for an hour long run. We split into a couple different pace groups and meet up for breakfast afterwards.
Volunteer at IMOO
You've listened to the Ironman Panel -- now experience a bit of Ironman excitement at our "hometown" IM race -- Ironman Wisconsin ("IMOO" for short). Each year the Club camps and volunteers at a water stop on the race course. See the message boards for details.
CTC at the Chicago Triathlon
CTC members will be out in force at the world's largest triathlon -- racing, volunteering, and ready to help other club members out with pre-race assistance and post-race refreshment. Look for the CTC banner near the race finish.
